I have had my Sonicare just over a year. The results of using the Sonicare v. a manual toothbrush have made all the difference in the world to my teeth and gums. I would recommend this toothbrush to anyone. I would highly recommend the Sonicare for those who have suffered from gum disease/Perio.

I started using my Sonicare about 2 weeks ago. Prior to purchasing this product I had tried the Crest Spinbrush, but I wasn’t impressed so I went back to a manual toothbrush. Despite the fact that my dentist told me I was doing fine using a manual toothbrush and didn’t need to shell out for a power toothbrush, I decided to anyway.
I’m SO glad I did! I love my Sonicare. My teeth have never felt so clean and polished. It does take a little getting used to if you’ve never used a power toothbrush before. Particularly remembering not to take the brush out of your mouth while it is on. It will spray toothpaste everywhere. The easy start feature is great though and will help you get used to it. I highly suggest taking advantage of it. I didn’t find the brush to be at all heavy like some have said.
This really gives you a thorough cleaning even BETWEEN your teeth. It liquifies the toothpaste so it can really get in there. Don’t get that model that comes with the toothpaste packets, they’re REALLY expensive. This model does the same thing and lets you use any kind of toothpaste you want. Anyway, if you’re like most of the world and don’t floss like you should you NEED this toothbrush. I noticed a huge difference when I flossed after using my Sonicare.
I bought the 7800 model because I wanted the programmable quadpacer, but I’m sure that the less expensive models work just as well.
There are only It does bother me that the battery is toxic to the enviornment, but I plan to dispose of the battery properly (and I hope others will too).
It also bothers me that the battery is non-replaceable, but since it comes with a 2 year warranty I know I’ll get at least that much use out of it and it’s well worth $50/year to take care of my teeth.
